At the 2021 Club AGM recently an increase in club membership fees was approved. Whilst this decision was not taken lightly it is a necessity.
-
During 2021 it cost ~€70k to run the club, at the end of the year we essentially broke-even
-
This was achieved fortuitously through the club receiving a windfall of €11k
-
By simply breaking-even the club cannot build a “nest-egg” to fund important developments
-
Recent developments such as the changing rooms, toilets in Stonebridge cost ~ €10k
-
Future developments such as floodlights & a hurling-wall in Stonebridge, storage container & toilets at the Cliffs will require funding.
-
Each year, through our successful development we add 4 new teams to the club
-
A letter from our club Chairperson John Doherty is shown below outlining the rationale for the decision to increase the price increase.
